Our mid-valley position allows us to be a convenient point of support for all the activities you can do in Valsesia, whether you want a sporting holiday or prefer a place of peace and tranquility in which to forget the daily stress .

FISHING

The name of the hotel was inspired by the multitude of fishermen who fish with the technique of fly-fishing to try to capture “The Queen of Sesia”, specimens of large trout that punctuate the Sesia hiding in the most perilous vortices of the river . FLUVIAL ACTIVITIES

The Sesia River is a popular destination for experienced kayakers as well as for beginners who want to approach the sport or who want to try rafting or canyoning. There are numerous river sports schools around Piode (Campertogno, Scopello, Balmuccia and Vocca) that allow anyone to experience the thrill of a descent on the water.

For those who prefer to read a book or simply sunbathe, it is possible to easily reach the various pools of tributraries by foot.

HIKING

Valsesia means “to walk”. If you are keen on trekking this is the place for you. Here you can choose the route that suits you from the dirt road that runs along the river, passable in a wheelchair or with a stroller, up to the paths for the more experienced. Worthy of a special mention “Pian di Gazzari “ a plateau overlooking the village on which, legend has it, Fra ‘Dolcino and his followers once barricaded themselves. Our establishment has a qualified hiking guide to accompany you on your excursions or simply advise you.

CLIMBING

There are numerous cliffs to visit in the valley, almost all pitched in today’s perspective and suitable for both beginners and those who like it “tough”. A 5 minute walk from the hotel is “Pietre Grosse”   a nice site for bouldering, while in 45 minutes can you arrive at the impressive Wall Calva, 150 meters of granite worked on where there are several multi-pitch routes. MOUNTAIN BIKE

The hotel is located on two classics routes for lovers of this sport. A challenging ring of about 40 km with 1500 m D + leading to the mountain pastures of Mera and Meggiana with a splendid view of Monterosa and a cycle path that starts from the village of Scopa along the river up to Alagna Valsesia, suitable for everyone and passable in two senses.

With the road bike it is also possible to reach the Alpe Meggiana along a tarmac road of about 11 km and 800 m D + and slopes up to 15%.

SKIING

If in summer green is the dominant color, during the winter the snow replaces  color  create landscape in black and white. The hotel is only a 5-minute drive from the lift for the Alp of Mera, a lovely ski resort suitable for families, beginners or training for competitive teams. In addition, a 15-minute drive takes you to Alagna Valsesia, the realm of the most extreme freeride but also the arrival point of the ski area that unites the Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta and offers about 180 km of slopes suitable for all types of skier.
